The Continuing Education Department at Cordoba University, in collaboration with the Biomedical Engineering Department, held a specialized lecture entitled “Antibiotic Resistance: Dimensions and Challenges Facing Health Security.” The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Nawfal Hussein Al-Dujaili from the College of Science at the University of Kufa, and was attended by the University President, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, the Dean of the College of Dentistry, and a number of faculty members and students.
The lecture highlighted the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance as one of the most prominent challenges facing health systems worldwide. The lecturer reviewed the main causes of the spread of this phenomenon and its repercussions on public health, in addition to discussing the latest scientific methods to reduce it and promote the rational use of antibiotics, thus contributing to achieving health security.
The lecture witnessed significant interaction from the attendees through questions and scientific contributions that enriched the seminar’s themes and contributed to enhancing the students’ health awareness and knowledge.
At the conclusion of the lecture, the President of Cordoba University presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to Professor Dr. Nawfal Hussein Al-Dujaili in recognition of his scientific efforts and his active contribution to enriching the academic and intellectual landscape of the university.
