A professor at the University of Cordoba participates in a session entitled “The Making of Legislation” in Najaf.

Professor Safaa Al-Khaqani, a faculty member at the College of Political Science at Cordoba University, attended a specialized dialogue session entitled “The Making of Legislation.” The session was held at the invitation of the Compass for Sustainable Development Foundation and included the participation of several academic and legislative figures from across Iraq.

The session took place at the Al-Khornaq Palace Hotel in Najaf Governorate and addressed important topics related to the mechanisms of drafting laws, the stages of legislative drafting, and the challenges facing the legislative process in Iraq. Representatives from relevant legislative bodies were also present.

The session featured Dr. Mazhar Al-Saadi, Head of the Iraqi Parliamentary Observatory; Dr. Hassan Al-Badiri, Head of the Legislative Drafting Department at the Legislation Directorate of the Iraqi Parliament; and Dr. Haider Al-Wazzan, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Kufa. The session was moderated by Mr. Adnan Jarakh, Advisor for Training and Development.

This participation comes within the framework of strengthening academic ties between Cordoba University and legislative institutions, contributing to the academic and professional development of its members and solidifying the university’s role in national issues.
