His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received businessman Ahmed Abdul Amir, a member of the investment committee at Cordoba University and an investor supporting the education sector in Iraq.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to support and develop the private higher education sector and strengthen partnerships between academic institutions and the private sector, which would contribute to improving the university environment and enhancing the quality of education.
For his part, Professor Ahmed Abdul Amir expressed his high appreciation for the Minister’s efforts in supporting private universities and his continuous follow-up on academic development and digital transformation issues. He affirmed his commitment to expanding investment opportunities in education and supporting projects that contribute to serving students and society.
His Excellency the Minister also praised the significant role played by Iraqi businessmen in supporting private education, noting the importance of this cooperation in achieving integration between the public and private sectors and keeping pace with government efforts to build a developed and balanced education system.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister stressed the need to support humanitarian and social initiatives that alleviate the burden on students, emphasizing the importance of assisting students in need of tuition fees and providing a fair educational environment that enables everyone to continue their academic journey without financial obstacles.
This meeting falls within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education’s policy aimed at encouraging national and investment initiatives that contribute to supporting academic development, strengthening the infrastructure of Iraqi universities, and achieving integration between educational development and social responsibility.
