The presidency of Al-Cordoba University warmly welcomed the Iraqi Orienteering Committee, represented by Mr. Safaa Al-Aboudi, an expatriate in Germany and Iraq’s representative in the International Orienteering Federation.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues of mutual cooperation between the university and the committee in supporting and developing the sport of orienteering, as well as promoting its culture among students. Discussions also included the possibility of organizing joint sports events and training programs in the near future.
The university administration expressed its deep appreciation for this visit, considering it an important step toward strengthening ties between academic institutions and sports organizations. The university also affirmed its readiness to provide the necessary support in this field.
For his part, Mr. Safaa Al-Aboudi praised Al-Cordoba University’s role in supporting youth and sports activities, commending its efforts in embracing initiatives that contribute to the development of the sports movement in Iraq.
