The Women’s Affairs Division at Cordoba University, in cooperation with the Community Policing Department in Najaf, held an awareness lecture entitled “Combating Violence Against Women” on the university campus. The lecture was attended by the university president, faculty members, and students.

The lecture was delivered by Colonel Khalid Jafat Matar and Ms. Zainab Majhoul Jiyad from the Community Policing Department in Najaf. The speakers addressed the most prominent forms of violence against women, its social and legal causes, and its negative effects on individuals, families, and society.

At the conclusion of the lecture, the university president presented certificates of appreciation to both Colonel Khalid Jafat Matar and Ms. Zainab Majhoul Jiyad in recognition of their efforts in making this awareness event a success. The university also emphasized the continuation of joint cooperation and the organization of further lectures and seminars to enhance community awareness within the university campus.
