The Department of Women’s Affairs at the University of Cordoba held a lecture in cooperation with the Directorate of Civil Defense in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf in the presence of the President of the University, Dr. Wissam Salah Abdul-Hussein Al-Mushtamir and a number of professors, associates and students.

The conference included a lecture delivered by Mr. Ali Majeed Hussain, Director of Media and Public Relations at the Directorate of Civil Defense, dealing with the introduction of early warning systems and explaining the principles of public safety and self-defense, in addition to highlighting the mechanisms for preventing accidents and how to properly deal with emergency situations.

The lecture witnessed a practical application on how to deal with fires and the use of fire extinguishers, where the students interacted directly through participation and practical application, which contributed to enhancing their awareness of the importance of safety and preparedness to face risks.

At the end of the conference, the President of the University presented a book of gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Ali Majeed Hussain in recognition of his efforts and effective contribution to the success of the conference, confirming the desire of the University of Cordoba to strengthen cooperation with government institutions.
