Prof. Dr. Zeyad Kadhim Oleiwi

Prof. Dr. Zeyad Kadhim Oleiwi is an academic and researcher specializing in Chemistry. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in 2010, Master's degree in 2012, and Ph.D. in 2015. His academic career encompasses university teaching, scientific research, and academic administration. Since 2023, he has been serving as a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kufa. Throughout his professional career, he has held several academic and administrative positions, most notably Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at Al-Tusi University College, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Head of the Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants Branch at the College of Pharmacy, and Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Kafeel University. He also served as Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs and Head of the Optometry Techniques Department at Al-Zahrawi University College. Furthermore, he has extensive teaching experience at several Iraqi universities, covering Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Biochemistry, in addition to teaching postgraduate students and supervising Master's students at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kufa. He has a substantial research record in Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, comprising approximately 17 scientific publications. His research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of organic and heterocyclic compounds, the investigation of their biological, antibacterial, and anticancer activities, and the application of molecular docking techniques in drug design and development. His research papers have been published in several international scientific journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate databases. In addition to his academic and research activities, he has participated in numerous scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops, contributing to quality assurance, academic accreditation, and the development of educational laboratories. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Iraqi Chemists Syndicate and has served on the editorial boards of several scientific journals. He has also chaired and served on various university committees, including Master's and Ph.D. thesis and dissertation examination committees, Ph.D. comprehensive examination committees, and the Central Examination Committee at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kufa. Furthermore, he has received numerous letters of appreciation and certificates of recognition for his scientific, academic, and administrative contributions.
