Dean of the College of Engineering Participates as a Speaker in a Panel Discussion on Recent Trends in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science

Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair El-Abbadi, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Cordoba, participated as a speaker in a panel discussion held as part of the scientific conference entitled “Recent Trends in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science,” jointly organized by Altoosi University and the College of Education at the University of Kufa on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The conference brought together a number of distinguished academics and researchers, along with representatives from the Najaf Provincial Council and the Najaf Police Directorate.

The panel discussion addressed the future of artificial intelligence and its role in serving society, as well as strategies for advancing AI development in Iraq and the Arab world. Through interactive discussions and questions, participants emphasized the importance of transitioning from knowledge consumption to knowledge production, promoting scientific research and innovation, and leveraging emerging technologies to benefit humanity and support sustainable development.
