As part of its efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and foster educational relations, Cordoba Private University received the Director of Ilya Schools, accompanied by the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department and the Head of the Computer Department. The visit aimed to enhance academic and educational cooperation and provide the delegation with an overview of the University’s colleges, academic departments, and scientific capabilities, particularly the programs and colleges that can accommodate vocational education students and provide them with a specialized learning environment.
The delegation was received by the President of Cordoba Private University, Prof. Dr. Wissam Salah Abdul-Hussein; the Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Firas Kassoub Rashid; and the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Nidal Khudair Abbas.
During the visit, the President of Cordoba Private University, Prof. Dr. Wissam Salah Abdul-Hussein, proposed an educational initiative aimed at strengthening communication between the University and school students. As part of the initiative, and in conjunction with the regular academic schedule, dedicated buses are planned to transport secondary-school students to the University, giving them the opportunity to visit its colleges and laboratories and gain firsthand insight into the university environment.
The initiative also includes opening university classrooms to visiting students and organizing educational and awareness lectures delivered by a distinguished group of University faculty members. These activities are intended to introduce students to university disciplines, broaden their knowledge, and help them make more informed decisions regarding their future academic and professional pathways.
This initiative reflects Cordoba Private University’s commitment to building effective partnerships with educational institutions, supporting students, and preparing them for a smooth transition from school education to university life.
