Faculty Member from Cordoba University’s College of Political Science Participates in a Training Course at the Parliamentary Development Institute

Ms. Safaa Kadhim Jaffat, a faculty member at the College of Political Science, Cordoba University, participated in a training course organized by the Parliamentary Development Institute of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, entitled “The Legislative and Oversight Roles and Mechanisms of Parliamentary Work.” Her participation was based on a nomination by the National Youth Council Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The training course was held as part of programs aimed at enhancing participants’ understanding of parliamentary work and its mechanisms, while providing deeper insight into the legislative and oversight responsibilities of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.

The participants were received by Mr. Saad Fayyad, Director General of the Parliamentary Development Institute, in the presence of Dr. Ari Kamal Mustafa Beg, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports. During the visit, participants were provided with an overview of the functions of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, its legislative and oversight responsibilities, and the mechanisms governing parliamentary work.
